After a back and forth battle with close calls via pinfall and submission, CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho to retain the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 28. Many have speculated where Jericho would go from here, with one side of rumors saying he would leave WWE to work on his Fozzy duties and the other side saying he will last through the summertime. After Mania, Jericho tweeted a vague message the morning after Mania about his future:
“Feel like I got run over by a truck…and in a way I did. The better man won last night. I guess its time for me to move on.”
