David Bautista is in Miami.
We have no confirmation he’s part of the show, but the fact he’s being picked by by WWE people indicates he’s here for business reasons.

—————————–

Regarding being at Mania…Brock Lesnar said he had not agreed to a deal as of a few hours ago. There are a number of issues, both financial and number of dates, that needed to be worked out.

—————————–

-Don’t know if that non-title win will lead to a dark match at Mania but at one point Usos vs. Primo & Epico was slotted as a dark match on Sunday.

**UPDATED**

The Hall of Fame TV show will air on 4/2, at 8 p.m., prior to Raw on the USA Network. It was announced that the inductions of Edge, Mike Tyson and the Four Horsemen would be on the show. If the deal with TNA hadn’t been reached, it was only going to be Edge and Tyson on television.

With Edge, Tyson and the Horseman all on television, and an inability for the show to go past one hour, the television version is going to come across as rushed, and probably heavily edited. I believe that Edge and the Horsemen are limited to ten minutes total for their speeches live.

As of press time, the order was scheduled as:

*Mil Mascaras – Inducted by Alberto Del Rio

*Yokozuna – Inducted by Rikishi (his cousin) and Jimmy & Jey Uso

*Ron Simmons – Inducted by JBL

*Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and J.J. Dillon as The Four Horsemen – Inducted by Dusty Rhodes

*Mike Tyson – Inducted by HHH and Shawn Michaels

*Edge – Inducted by Christian

—————————————–

Mike Tyson, when interviewed by the Los Angeles Times this past week, had the subject of the WWE Hall of Fame brought up. He said, “They think I belong in there and want me to fly out and get inducted into their hall. I’m not going to argue with them. I’m ecstatic. I watched wrestling before I ever watched boxing on TV. Bruno Sammartino was my favorite, but I liked all those guys, Junkyard Dog, Nikolai Volkoff, the Iron Sheik and Superstar Billy Graham.”

—————————————–

- One of the things TNA wanted when negotiating with WWE for Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame participation was that they wanted it to be said in some way during the show that Flair worked for TNA or was there due to TNA. No word yet if WWE agreed to that particular stipulation but it was one of the key things that was being discussed over the past few weeks.

- All Hall of Famers are being limited to ten-minute induction speeches. With Edge, Mike Tyson and The Four Horsemen being featured on the one-hour TV special next Monday, the TV part will likely come off as rushed and it will be heavily edited.

Three days before the show, there are about 61,700 tickets out. A little under 2,000 remaining at ticket outlets and there were 5,200 tickets left on stubhub (they are included in the 61,700 figure) alone when it comes to unsold secondary market tickets first purchased largely by scalpers. Available tickets on the secondary market are priced as low as $13.99 and will probably fall from there over the next few days. Ringside tickets, which were originally priced at $1,500, were still going at a premium, selling for $2,500 minimum this week and one third row seat in the last few days sold for $7,400. Even though the stadium will probably be full with around 65,000 people, and be announced as a sellout of around 75,000, it did fall short as far as being that kind of must-see high demand event that many WrestleManias in the past have been. Is that a hint about the buy rate? Probably not. The 2008 show had the second most number of tickets given away (behind only 1992), and was one of the bigger PPV numbers in history. House show business is good right now, but this is the good season and it is down from the same period the last two years. Ratings remain strongly disappointing. It is a cause for concern when 25% fewer people watched the go-home Raw this year than last year.

Still, this will still be a gigantic event, probably a good to great show and a huge money making promotion. Last year at this time in Atlanta, there were fewer tickets available at this point and that show was actually not sold out according to figures from the Georgia Dome released weeks later.
